EICR inspections in Birmingham
Electrical Installation Condition Reports with the findings explained clearly and practical next steps for your property.

Know the condition of your installation.
An EICR records the findings from inspecting and testing an existing electrical installation within an agreed scope. Alex handles enquiries from homeowners, landlords, HMO owners and small businesses.
Before the visit
- Share the postcode, property type and approximate size.
- Explain why the report is needed and any relevant deadline.
- Mention previous reports or known electrical issues.
- Agree access, the inspection scope and power interruptions.
After the inspection
You receive the report and an explanation of its findings. Any recommended remedial work is discussed and quoted separately unless it was explicitly included in the agreed scope.
Already have a report?
Send details of the observations and the work you would like assessed. We can discuss the appropriate follow-up without assuming that a full replacement installation is needed.
Helpful to know
Your questions, answered.
Is an EICR the same as installation certification?
No. An EICR reports on an existing installation; installation certification relates to electrical work that has been carried out. Explain what you need and Alex will discuss the appropriate service.
Are repairs included?
Remedial work is quoted separately unless it was included in the agreed scope. The findings and options are explained before additional work goes ahead.
Do you inspect rented properties and HMOs?
Yes. Include the property type, size and reason for the inspection so the appropriate scope can be discussed.
